Start speaking
while you walk

You can read it, but nothing comes out when you open your mouth. That's not a knowledge gap — it's that you've never said it out loud.

Five minutes a day · all you need is earphones

A person walking and speaking with earphones on

You know 3,000 words
and still can't order coffee.

The problem isn't your level — it's the order. Most study pours words in through your eyes and saves speaking for last. But speech only comes out as far as you've pushed it out.

WalkLingo flips the order. You speak from day one, and when you get it wrong you're corrected right there. With nobody watching.

How it works

Five minutes. Three steps.

  1. 01

    Pick up the call

At the time you chose, an AI teacher calls — a real call screen, not a notification. Answer and the conversation starts.

  2. 02

    Just talk

It brings the topics. If you miss something it asks again, and it reshapes the awkward phrasing into something natural.

  3. 03

Lock it in on the walk

Today's words come back as sound. No screen to look at, nothing to tap.

Scheduled calls

You never have to open the app to study

An app you have to open is an app you stop opening. So we call you. 8am, 7pm on the way home — pick the times and days, and the phone rings.

  • Answer straight from the lock screen
  • Set as many times as you like
  • One more ring if you miss it

No-tap vocabulary

It moves on without you touching anything

The word plays, the meaning follows, then an example sentence. There is no next button. Walk, do the dishes, close your eyes.

  • Furigana and pinyin included
  • Touch the screen to pause
  • Words you miss come back on their own

Spaced repetition

It brings words back right before you forget

It remembers when you learned each word and slips it back in around the time it would fade. The ones you keep missing come more often; the ones you know, less.

  • Missed words come first
  • Old words drop in now and then
  • A streak you can see on the calendar

Frequently asked questions

What if I can't say a single word?

That's fine. Your first call can end after hello. It finds your level on its own, and helps you out in your own language when you're stuck.

I'd be embarrassed with people around.

That's why it's built for walking. Put in earphones and talk like you're talking to yourself. Vocabulary practice can be sound-only.

How long do I need each day?

Five minutes is enough. Short and often beats long and rare — the spaced repetition is built on that assumption.

Is it free?

Vocabulary and review are free. AI conversation comes with free minutes each month, and you can pick a plan if you want more.

Does it use a lot of data?

Word audio is downloaded ahead of time, so it works offline. Only the calls need a connection.
